Stoeger Sterlingworth
I was at the gun show the other day and bought a 20 gage stoeger sterlingworth double barrell ghotgun. The gun has a case hardened engraved receiver and trigger guard. The condition is a good 90%. Thats the good the bad is someone named Mark decided to engrave the gun with a electric engraving pencil two times. Once on top of the barrell and once on the underside of the barrell. I was thinking of making a coach gun out of it, but wondered if the gun was worth anything before I cut the barrell. I could probably sand the engraving out an touch it up. The gun is a very good looking gun an hasn't been used much. Anyone know anything about these guns?

Probably Spanish. It should have Spanish Proof Marks, one of which is a coded date.
Obviously we would need quality photos for accurate identification and valuation. Not likely it's going to be worth a lot, though. Specially with Mark's name electropenciled on the barrel.
Check the auctions for Spanish doubles, to get a ballpark value.0
