Long barrel on .327 Federal Magnum
Is it possible to have a 6 inch barrel made for a Taurus Model M-327 in .327 Federal magnum? What about having a lever action carbine in .327 Federal magnum?

A new barrel for your Taurus would probably cost more than the gun itself, IF...
A .327 lever action could probably be made by rebarrelling a .32-20 and doing a good deal of action work at high cost, IF...
The big IF is whether you could find a good gunsmith willing to take the time to fool with it, even if you were willing to pay the price.
A lot of these Internet Projects fail because there is nobody offering oddball services like that. Anybody with the skill and equipment required probably has all the work he can handle on stuff he is familiar with, no need for him to do a lot of setup and design work for a single job.0 -
Assuming you're willing to pay for the service, you can pretty much have any gun you like built to your spec, or a pre-existing one modified to your spec.
In this case, yes you "could" have a custom barrel fabricated for a Taurus then professionally fitted, though as already mentioned, there aren't many gunsmiths that would want to take on something like that.
I've also heard that the Smith and Wesson model 16 can be converted to this caliber, so that would be another way to get there.
The question really, is how much are you willing to spend to get there?
On leverguns, again, it may be possible to convert an existing .32 to .327, and its certainly "possible" to build one from scratch or using mostly components from other caliber guns, but I think the cost of this sort of build is going to be prohibitive.
There are reasons why these things don't already exist, and its basically lack of demand. 32 caliber guns in general aren't that popular and whatever the merits of the .327 on its own, realistically it doesn't offer much advantage over a conventional .357 (or 9mm) platform, except maybe to a small number of .32 "nuts".0 -
If you are willing to pay the price and like single action revolvers, Freedom Arms makes the M97 in 327 mag in various length barrels. I have a 7 1/2" FA 327 that is very accurate and a hoot to shoot. The ladies love it. 0
