cant find a cross reference for a Montgomery Ward Hercules 1929. its a single shot. anyone happen to know the manufacturer and model number?

  Can't help with the model number. My reference does note that Hercules was a store brand, used on guns made by Iver Johnson for Monkey Ward.

  If the gun is a "Store Brand Name" shotgun, either a single barrel or a double barrel in addition to have possibly made by Iver Johnson's Arms * Cycle Works, it could have also been made by the Stevens Arms & Tool Co. If it does say MODEL 1929, it was made by Stevens as that is how they marked some of their guns. Most likely it's a Model 94.
