Unknown Shotgun Wad

I'm looking for who made this wad. It appears to be a 12 ga with a 1-1/8 oz cup and 2 pedals. There is a the number 18 on the inside base of the cup Thanks

  #18 is insignificant. It is the core # on the injection mold machine. (tells which one is screwed up during production)
  
  Your wad doesn't look like any I have used, looks like a 12ga with 1 1/4oz shot capacity or more. Could be used for 2 3/4" or 3" because how long the cup is and how short the recoil area is. It will hold a pretty good load.
  
  
  I have seen those style wads while thumbing threw a catalog. You could look on Midway USA site at their wads. They show pictures of each one. I looked, didn't see it.

  Looks like a herters Grand Prix wad. Do the slits go all the way to the end ?
  Check patent number 3279375
  Could also be herters vandalee wad. Both types delivered very tight patterns , very little shot cushioning , and excellent gas sealing. Expect tight patterns, maybe too tight or even blown thru pattern, depends on your shotgun and load. Wad will hit the paper at 35 yds!

  It is a Herter's 12 ga wad for 1 1/4 oz loads. The plastic is much thicker than Rem Power Pistons or Win AA wads. I have 500 of Herters 1 1/8 oz wads which have an 1/8" shorter cup.

  Thanks to all who helped I was able to locate this type wad on a web page that showed Herters wads ID'd as a Vandalee
