Just for the record , I picked up a 597 and 2 extra 10 rd magzines today
to answer all question the rifle fired perfectly, with all clips, and cci stingers and maxi mags. buy it you'll like it.

  lock stock and barrel, I have a 597 too. Just love it, accurate and very dependable. Mine is a 22 Mag. Shoot it and enjoy it.
