Just picked up a Colt Cobra 38spc 1st issue.
Would someone please give the DOM?

  hello, was wondering if someone could tell me the DOM for a colt cobra 38 revolver serial # 240720 underneath is was looks to be a offsetting I then LW. thanks for any help.

  Does it have an "LW" under the serial number?
  If so, 1968 according to
  http://www.coltsmfg.com/CustomerServices/SerialNumberLookup.aspx

  Yes there is an LW under the SER#.
