Citadel M1 22 cal
Any body have an opinion on these??? A good friend of mine is thinking of getting one and if they prove out I might consider one we both plan on using them for plinking and small game hunting.

I've seen lots of posts about them on various forums. Reviews seem favorable. With the exception of comments on the mickey mouse plastic sights. 0 -
I haven't had any personal experience with them. My understanding though is that the outfit in Italy that makes them uses Zinc diecastings/potmetal, in their manufacturer.
If this is the case I would suggest that one of the aftermarket kits that convert Ruger 10-22's into M 1 carbine clones, might be more durable and reliable.0 -
I finally got to see one last weekend....neat gun but i wasn't impressed
with the plastic rear and front sights. the barrel band bayonet lug is
plastic also, and it was priced at 409.00[xx(]
So i checked out auctions here and they're in the 400 dollar range.
Like Rufe said you'd be happier with a 10/22, cheaper and better made
and for under 400 you can get the stainless 10/22 international with
the mannlicher (spelling) stock
good luck, Thor0 -
We sell them here but it feels and looks like a piece of junk folks.. Also very finicky with ammo.. 0
