It looks to be either a S & W #2, or a knock-off of the same. It should be marked on the barrel?

The gun does say S&W Springfield Mass on the top of the barrel. On the bottom of the handle the serial number is 64928. It is chambered in .22

It definately is a Smith and Wesson #2 revolver. I do not have a list of S&W serial No.s and dates, but I do think it is pre 1898.

Model #2 is .32 caliber? this is .22? could this be a model 1 2nd issue?

Yes, a Model 1 second issue. Should have 1855 and 1859 patent dates on the cylinder.
