kel tec p11 assistance
I just recently replaced the slide stop in my p11, original sheared off and now that i have the new part in when i went to function test it with a snapcap the gun fired but failed to reset the trigger, any ideas?

Bent pin somewhere, burr from broken part, bad spring, bent bar or perhaps installed wrong.0 -
The P 11 I worked on years ago had a similar problem. The trigger bar tension spring # 256 had slipped out of the groove in the trigger bar # 260. You will have to remove the 3 pins that secure the the aluminum receiver assembly to the plastic grip to get at it.0 -

Yes, what were you firing?
I've fired Hirtenberger 9mm +P+ as well as hot loads in the 357 SIG conversion and nothing broke or came loose.
Get heavier Wolf springs if you are shooting hot loads.0 -

The P 11 I worked on, sheared one off also. All's it is, unreinforced sheet metal. You do enough shooting, and impact of the slide causes it to fail.
Customer Service at Keltec, after they were contacted. Sent a replacement.
My experience working on the various things that happened to this P 11. Is they were meant to be carried a lot, but not to be shot extensively.
Don't get me wrong they function OK. Just not designed for the constant pounding of thousands of rounds of 9mm ammo.0 -

im just firing standard target 9mm0 -
To minimize battering, I would still see the Keltec has the heaviest recoil spring it will function reliably with. 0
