FAL parts kit for Inch receiver
After several other builds, finally gonna build a FAL. If one had a Century FAL inch receiver, which parts kits would work on it? Argentine, South African, Rhodesian, others?
I know there are metric and inch, but don't know who used what.
Thanks!

British and Commonwealth (L1A1s and C1A1s) were 'inch'.
Most others were Metric.0 -
And what may have looked like a Century inch build on it may have been an inch build stuck on a metric receiver - most were.
Only real receiver differences are mag cut and the cut edge at the front for the folding charging handle.
Personally I'd go for a metric kit and do a metric build - I like the ergonomics better.0 -

Century made receivers are not known to be very good quality. If you are looking for a receiver try Coonan or IMBEL. You can get all kinds of good info on the fal files forum. 0 -
Century did import Imbel receivers, and some made in Canada Century FAL's had Argy receivers.
Either of those receivers are worth building, but the receivers that are made by Century are hit and miss at best.
As stated earlier, get a Coonan or a gear logo Imbel and be done with it. Check the auction side out for a gear logo Imbel receiver. Buy once cry once![:)]0
