Coast to Coast 12 ga pump
Have one that I purchased (new) around 1980. Several years back, while looking for a slug barrel, I found that it was made by Mossberg (model 500) with Coast to Coast name on it. I did buy a Mossberg barrel and it fits perfectly, just haven't used it yet.
I ended up hunting in a rifle area and never had the oportunity to use this shotgun, so, it has been a safe queen for thirty some years. Looks new as the day I bought it.

is it a 2-3/4 or 3 inch? also, is it a single or dual charging bar? if it is a 2-3/4 gun with single charge bar, about 125.00. if 3 inch with dual bars, about 150.00 to 175.00. coast to coast doesnt carry much value even though moss made them. people would rather see mossberg on them. there are tons of used mossbergs around here starting at 130.00 up to 225.00. 0 -
Need to know the Coast to Coast model number before we can give a correct answer.
Coast to Coast is what I call a "Store Brand Name" A "Store Brand Name" shotgun is one that was made by a major maker for and was sold by a retail chain store (Sears & Roebuck or Coast to Coast) who chose the name to go on the gun. "Store Brand Name" shotgun has 10 to 15 percent less value than the same identical gun with the original makers name on it.0 -
I bought a Montgomery Wards-marked Mossberg a few months ago that had remained unfired since it's original purchase. 2 3/4 inch, plain barrel, single action bar, no serial number (made before SN's were required). I paid $150, which is about the max that they go for, and usually less if in lesser condition. But considering that $150 is less than an extra barrel may cost for a gun that is no better (remember that the basic Mossberg 500 came out on top in the Army's pretty severe shotgun trials), they are a bargain. But the realism in the commercial market is that some 'name' snobbery does hold sway regarding the resale of store-branded guns.
BTW, I also bought a J.C. Higgins M20, another unfired 'corner queen'
in the same configuration (2 3/4 inch, plain barrel, single action bar) for the same money. They are also looked down upon, but these are Hi-Standard Flite-Kings in disguise, and are likewise a sleeper, with a depressed value on the commercial market.
But talking up the good points goes nowhere with prestige-types who want a 3 1/2 inch vent rib name-brand for whacking rabbits at the brush pile. [;)]0 -

I don't know if HS ever went to the dual action bars, as they quit making shotguns in the 70's. But there definitely was a reason that Mossberg went to them. As long as your acquisitions aren't trashed and are kept as behind the door guns, your A OK. To much wear and torque between the the forend and single action bar leads to malfunctions. One of the guys I knew back in calli years ago, had jambing/action binding with his HS.0
