International powder

Have loaded a few 20g with Internation powder and it seems to leave a black smudge on the end of the fired hull. Is this normal with this powder? What other powder is good for 3/4--7/8 oz. shot at about 1200 fps. in a 20g? Thanks

  yes it will..i use hodgdon longshot for my 20ga..i load 7/8 at 1250 fps AA hull...i use international clay for my 12ga..1oz at 1290fps AA hull or remington STS

  Its hard to load a 20ga with low pressure..the ones i load for my 20ga have 10600psi...my 12ga have 8900psi

  Try some Greendot and there will be less smudging on the hulls. Even with the black smudges it don't hurt anything, just isn't as pretty.
