Norinco SKS trigger issue
After installing a new stock on my sks i tried to do a function check. Found that the trigger would pull but the hammer would not fall. I disassembled it again and found that the hammer had to be (helped) forward, so i disassembled the trigger assembly and found that the hammer is cocking to far back and catching the sear. Now the thing is im not sure if its the hammer is worn or the sear has moved forward (doesnt look like it its flush with its rails). I would much rather replace the hammer than the sear since the sear is nickel plated. Ill try and get some pics if its needed but any help is greatly appreciated.

Well, it could have been that others were as confused as I was by your post.
Generally, when you have a rifle that is functioning properly, & you install the action in an aftermarket stock, it may require fitting OF THE STOCK to function properly. You should not attempt to snap the hammer on an SKS with the trigger group out of the rifle, as this will cause damage.
You probably should have reinstalled the action & TG in the old stock to see if it functioned correctly. I'd try that now. I suspect that no parts are worn or require replacement.
The SKS TG is complicated, & most gunsmiths will not attempt to lighten the trigger pull. I have 2 friends who attempted this, &, in both cases, the rifle dumped the mag on the 1st pull of the trigger. And, restoring proper function was difficult.
Tapco used to make an SKS replacement TG; you might consider that, if they ever again become available.

Well I was confused as well last night. I did get out my spare trigger group to look at while reading the OP and decided I was still confused and it was not something I was going to try and comment on without hands on and doubted pictures would even help enough.
The only damage I've ever suffered snaping the trigger group out of the gun has usually been to the finger/thumb depressing the lever in front of the hammer getting smashed when the trigger is pulled.
Worst thing about the trigger group is that if you change a part it will require LOTS of hand fitting, parts are generally not directly interchangable. I don't think it is possible to lighten the trigger pull, the design just does not permit it. They can be improved significantly by polishing the parts since most chinese guns look like thier finsh work is done with a Mill buzzard file.0 -
Sounds like you got something in the trigger group back to gather wrong! The group is simple in operation the arm on the trigger pushes the sear back and release the hammer and when the bolt pushes it back again it is caught by the sear. You may have the disconnecter installed wrong, take a look at this example of putting the group together to see if you are getting it right.
