Stevens 311-H .410
I've got a Stevens 311 series H .410 Double Barrel and want to know from experienced gunsmith how to remove the forearm from it. I'm familiar with Stevens DB's and the forearms on them just snap off/on but this one has a screw and when the screw is removed the forearm acts as though it does'nt want to budge (no finish stickage that I can see along the barrel), am scared to pry on it for fear of breakage. Are these different than the 12', 20's 16's ??? I've did a search and thats no good, have no owners manual either. Thanks for any help/advice [;)]

All of the ones I've seen just pull off. 0 -

Sometimes they cam over very tightly. Pull straight away from the barrels at the muzzle end of the forearm.0 -
Well I took a deep breath and slid a long skinny screw driver down the underside of the barrel and deep inside the forearm, gave a pry, it popped loose but will say it was stronger than any I've ever pulled, luckily the wood did'nt break or crack. The screw on the bootom-side of the forearm sure had me fooled, thought for sure it was a new style of mounting. [;)] Thanks for the help, I'm a Happy Man ! [:D] 0
