light 20 gauge loads
Looking for a light load for my 20 gauge auto, I have the new Lyman shotshell manual and it just lists a 7/8 oz. shot load. May not be a smaller shot load for the 20, just starting to shotshell reload and need all the help I can find. Have a fine day.

There are 3/4oz loads for the 20 I just don't remember where I saw them............ 0 -
Too light a load may not cycle your autoloader. 0 -
I load 15 gr of Alliant 20/28 with Win 209 primer and Claybuster CB1075 3/4 oz wads. Works fine in my 20 ga. Rem 1100. 0 -
Get you a Basic Reloading Manual from hodgdon..or go to their website and look at their reloading data... 0 -

Capper you are right, 3/4 oz. shot with 12.0 grains of Internation at 1125 fps will not cycle my 20g Benelli. It is brand new, with only 10-12 rounds thought it, maybe it will do better when broke in good. 0 -
You have to shoot a 1200 fps or higher for a benelli to cycle...they will not cycle with nobel sport shells either.. 0 -
Benellisupersport, do you shoot a benelli? Wondering how you like them, first new shotgun I ever bought. 67 years old and my dad bought me a Browning sweet 16 when I was 16, thinking about a semi-retirment for the Browning. Really like the 20 so far. I went all out for me and got the Benelli Montefeltro Silver. 0 -
Yes..I shoot sporting clays with a supersport...my wife shoots a benelli sport II...20 ga...I shot a browning 525 for years had to much kick..i started reloading my shells with low presure..just bought a browning 625 sporting...will shoot start shooting it..I have 4 benelli shotguns two m-2 and a supersport and a sport II 0 -
Montefeltro is a sweet 20ga too. Beautiful wood on it too. 0 -
pretty wood is one reason I bought a Montefeltro Silver. I thank a gun should not only shoot good but look good too. I will take care of it and pass it along to one of my boys in a few years. 0
