DPMS LR-300 .308 compatabilities...

I just fell into a DPMS LR-300 .308 AR style rifle because the price was too good to pass up... It is set up as a "tactical" with collapsing stock, quad-rail, etc. but I'm wanting to make it a medium-range tack driver and want to change a few parts.

Can anyone tell me with relative accuracy what "simple" parts are interchangable with other AR-15 parts???

Specifically:

Grip (will find something more comfy than mil-spec)
Buttstock (want to go from factory collapsable to a Magpul ACS)
Safety select lever (want to go to a ambi)

  First of all it is an LR308 not a 300 unless it is a .300 Blackout. What few parts do you want to change??? What ever you do your stuck using DPMS parts for the upper. Armalite and Rock River won't interchange. Different threads on the lock nut for the barrels and even the barrels won't interchange which also includes the bolt carrier group. About all you can use is lower receiver parts from other companies.

  That might not be true. DPMS did make a LR-300, in 300 RSAUM.
  
  The safety is common, as are some of the trigger parts, except the hammer spring, they say.

  I would be lead to believe the comparison, is because, it is built on an AR-10 chassis, much like all the 7.62x51/308 Win.'s are.
