leather oil

When I was shooting on a military team and we got a new sling we just started using it. It would limber up after a little usage. I would not use neats foot oil as it makes the leather too soft and I have heard that it makes fibers break down in the leather. I would use a past type conditioner if the leather becomes dry.

I bought a sling a while back and used some baseball glove conditioner on it and it worked great.

I've used Pecard's on my leather (old and new) and have had very good results. Even works on breaking in new leather work boots.

Ballistol is good for both cleaning and keeping leather from drying out

I use Nikwax, comes in a tube like tooth paste. Works well on leather jackets, boots and holsters. Spelling might be wrong, don't feel like going downstairs to check.
