303 British enfield
My Mom is considering selling this rifle that used to belong to my Dad who is now deceased. My Dad bought the rifle in the early 60s when he was in the military. It has probably only been fired a handful of times over the past 30 years.
Anyway, I'd like to know an approximate value of it. If you need any other information about it, please let me know & I'll contact my Mom to see what information she has.
Thanks.

I have 2 303 British enfields one by Savage and the other a longbranch, the battle sights (peep)are marked 300 and 600 (yards or meters) so it shoots really high at 100 yds.Can you get a higher front sight? I checked with Numrich and no luck, any suggestions? thanks Dave 0 -
Remove the front sight protector, by taking the screw out. See if the online parts dealers have any higher front sight(s) in stock?
You might be able to replace it with U.S. made sight if it has a standard 3/8 dovetail. Check the dovetail size and contact the customer service folks at Brownell's, if it's a standard size.0 -

Aim lower! I think some of these old military rifles were designed to be fired at longer ranges. 0 -
