added an early Damascus in poor condition NO, a late model in good shape maybe. Game Load? Is that dove and quail or more like duck and pheasant; perhaps a slug.

Go to a gunsmith and have the chamber length measured. Firing modern 2 3/4 shells in an older short chambered gun can cause problems.

Go to the Parker forums. I believe the web address is www.parkergun.com. They will be able tell you anything that you need to know. I do know that the Trojan was one of their later guns that was made to be a little more affordable. Many of the older Parkers did indeed have shorter chambers, I have a VH 12 gauge that has 2 5/8 inch chambers. This length was very common in the 12 and many older 16's were 2 9/16 inch. If you need short shells you can find them in the Kent Game Bore line. I purchase some 2 1/2 inch 12 gauge for mine.
