The only part I'm sure of is the barrel: It's a USGI barrel made by Saco Defense, Saco, Maine, now a division of General Dynamics. They made the most accurate M14 barrels. Yes, the P is a proof mark.

    Thanks for the help, Neal.

Anyone have any ideas on the other parts? Mark C? Givette?

SAK is a great barrel. You should be able to move the safety back and forth with the trigger group out to see the markings. The gas tube should have a light stamping near the end that faces the receiver. You can take off your rear sight and look at the bottom to see who made the base. The elevation and windage knobs are marked on the outside. I don't know about the trigger housing off the top of my head. The op rod is obviously Springfield Armory (the arsenal).

Sounds like your rifle is composed of USGI parts. Be happy you have the SAK barrel, now have fun and shoot it![:)]
