Is it a Trap grade or a Heavey Duck?
My Trap Grade has the matt top of the receiver. I just looked at a Heavey Duck and if I remember right it was matted also. If you don't get a good answer by tomorrow, I'll have time to look in my books.

It is NOT an Heavy Duck, as I have 4 of the H-D and one of them is an 32" Pigeon Grade, of witch a lot of WINCHESTER Men told Me that
they were NOT made in Heavy-Duck.But I have an old Price sheet that shows them. How do you tell a Trap from a Deluxe Field if it is not marked as Trap, or has a Trap stock.
I shared that Price list with Bert H.

    Joe,

The Simmons Ribs are always marked as such on the left-hand side of the rib. If the rib is not marked, it is most likely a Winchester rib.

Does the model 12 your speaking of have a montecarlo stock? Doea it have a round or a fat forarm? Are the stock and forarm checkered?
