are third generation woodsman mangazines able to fit third generation targetsman. what is the difference with a woodsman and targetsman? thanks. i have a targetsman new in box and its great

  should work but I would check with Brownell's Tech department by phone or internet To be sure Those guys are VERY good.

  The Targetsman was an economy version of the 3rd issue Woodsman. I believe it was meant to be competitive, and just a little more expensive then the Mark I Ruger. It had similar features such as adjustable sights and target grips.
  
  The magazine latch on the Targetsman was on the bottom of the grip. All Woodsman magazines would function except the early first issue models.
  
  Believe the magazine latch on the grip was similar to the 3rd issue Woodsman. In that it wasn't spring loaded, i.e. the catch had to be manually moved forward to secure it in the pistol.
