    The magazine tubes were always seamed. If you have one without a seam in it, it is a reproduction.

    Edit: Let me clarify a bit... if it is a Pre-1964 Winchester, it should have a seamed magazine tube. I do not know what Winchester did in the Post-1963 production years (other than make cheap guns).
