quick release rings to fit target blocks
All,
I purchased a Winchester 1895 takedown rifle that has target blocks on the barrel. I'd like to find a set of quick release rings that would work with the blocks. Anyone know of a company that makes such an animal? I've got some images but I don't know how to insert them.

Normally target blocks have 7 inches between front and rear block . This more or less mandates a long tube Target type Scope that also most times has mounts with a thumb screw mounting system. a normal one inch or 30 MM rifle scope will not be long enough to accept rings 7 inches apart and if they did the eye relief of normal scope would be useless mounted on the barrel. What scope are you trying to mount[?]
EDIT Very Good I hope it works well for you. I have a number of vintage scopes I use on older rifles with target block type mounts . I have many different Blocks . But the newer style scopes have better optics0 -

Perry thanks for the note. I am aware how target blocks work. have them on my Model 52. I have already found a British manufacturer that may be able to provide me a set of mounts that would go onto the blocks. Rings are extended in a way that an extended eye relief scope would work.0 -
Leupold made a set of quick detachable rings called "Detacho" that used bases similar but wider than the Unertls 0
