Old Ithaca shotgun expert help needed
Hello, I have an old Ithaca flues, double barreled shotgun made in 1911. It is a 12 guage, has beautiful, checkered, crotch walnut wood that has been refinished professionally and is about perfect. The receiver is almost mint with original case coloring, engravings of snipe (bottom of receiver), quail (left side of receiver), and duck (right side of receiver). The barrel has just a bit of wear, but is very nice also. I would like to send good pictures to someone who is up on Ithacas and their values so I can get a value on this gun. I have no idea how to post photos on this forum, but can send via regular email. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks, P

it sounds like a grade 2 it will say on the water table are the barrels fluid steal or damascus. hard to say the value Flues are less desirable than the NID's due to frame strength and you should use low pressure shells to extend the life of the gun. I would have to see pics and know who done the restoration but I would say in the condition you describe 800-1300 finding the right buyer is key. 0 -
Are you telling me there is not a person out there who is knowledgeable on old Ithaca double barrel shotguns that I can send pictures to and get help with the value and model?? I looked at the link for that "Diamond Gunsmithing" guy and can't even figure out how to get in touch with him. Is there a good Ithaca forum I could join and get some info?? Thanks! 0 -
