slide marking/divit on browning bda?
Picked up a browning BDA made in Italy and its in excellent condition, howevethere is a pin sized divit/hole in the slide right in ftont of the rear sight. Its almost like.a.drilled scope base you would see on a rifle. Only one . Any clue what.it is?

It's virtually the same as the Beretta Model 84. A vertical pin in that hole retains the extractor. Appears some one in the past disassembled the slide and didn't replace the original pin correctly, or used a much shorter replacement. 0 -
Best to put a picture up. I don't remember if the one I had a hole there. Don't see one in this one I got off the net.

Thanks, definitely sounds like the extractor pin. Any issues with the extractor failing in these ? 0 -

Can't tell without actually shooting it. If the extractor pin has been replaced? Someone might have been diddling with the extractor for some reason.
The 84 I had years ago functioned OK. With the price of .380 ammo, I never did shoot it that much though.0
