Top folding shotgun stock
Does anyone know of a company that makes a top folding stock that will fit a Remington 1100 Semi Auto shotgun. I know ATI makes one that will fit a model 870 but I don't know if it will fit a semi auto or not. I want one that has a pistol grip and is top folding. Thank you.

Looking at buying or building an 870 home defense gun and want to know is there an advantage to having a top folding stock. Will be kept behind the headboard, bedside dresser drawer, etc.
Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.0 -
The action spring of the 1100 extends into the stock. Because of this, doubtful a folding stock is feasible? 0 -
not going to happen with the 1100, or any other shotgun with the recoil spring in the stock. you are stuck with a pistol gripped stock. it is your only choice. 0 -

I had one of the original top folders made by Remington, years ago on a 870.
It look really neat and made a nice compact concealable package with the riot barrel and extended mag.
The only fly in the soup is when shooting it. Even with a tight cheek weld the steel strut was very uncomfortable when recoiling, specially with 00's.0 -
Yup, R-S has it right: the recoil with the 870 folders was miserable. 0
