Ingram MAC-11- part two
The guy with the Ingram Mac-11 is thinking of having me list the gun for him on the auction side. Question what category would be best to list it under?
By the way he clarified to me that it is an open bolt, he bought it in 1981 and it is under the ATF grand fathering.

If it's anything other than a semi-auto pistol, I don't think you'll want to be listing it. (My point, if it had been converted to a machine gun -- and you wanted to list it under NFA items -- it would need to be more than "grandfathered" -- all the paperwork to do the conversion would need to have been done before 1986.)
I don't think category plays too big of a role when people search; most of it is the search terms you include in the title. If I were you, I'd definitely include "open bolt" in the listing title, along with the common words people will use when searching for that.0 -
Semi automatic pistol. 0 -
You want to list it as an INGRAM OPEN BOLT MAC 11 under pistols. Ingram and Open Bolt are the two search terms people will use to find it. 0 -
