How the Sandy Hook gun control push spectacularly

I find myself enjoying the spirit of this rant, if not the substance.

Please understand that any armed action must be disciplined. Hate makes people do stupid stuff; ie: Senator Feinstein.

Do you want it remembered by your grandchildren that your part in the Second Revolutionary War included killing children? Yeh, that's harsh, sorry; but we must watch what we say.

Yes, I noticed that the author and the persons quoted did not actually say "You should go out and kill some children". I think that any ground we hold should be the moral high ground. We must be very careful what we say, because, sadly, we have some loose lugnuts on our side too.

    Wait a darned minute here...
No AR-Type rifle/carbine at Sandy Hook? There was no Bushmaster brand AR?

Can anyone verify this info? What sources?

No one can verify it anymore by design. News media loves to create conspiracy theory fodder. It muddies the waters and they push their agenda through the muck.

Re: 'Wait a darned minute here'

I guess I made the assumption that I was supposed to make. I am a self-described gun nut and I assumed that something that looks like an M4-clone, must be chambered for 5.56/.223 ammo. I know better. No excuse. I have not been able to find out if Bushmaster ever made an M-4 clone chambered in .22 Rimfire. I am sure, however that multiple sources make .22 LR conversion kits for M-4 clones.

That an AR, chambered in .22 LR, was one of the weapons carried at Sandy Hook, would explain some of the reports saying that only .22 brass was seen. A lot of those .22 conversion magazines look like 30-round 5.56 mags and only hold 10-rounds of .22. How about that (bababooey) concept?

No reliable source on the .22 rimfire cases.

I read a post from another site that quoted a coroner's assistant from another jurisdiction who was pulled in to assist at the school. He is quoted as saying that he only saw .22 rimfire cases on the floor.

Yes, I am aware that this might be B.S. I am only suggesting that the presence of an AR-type rifle and only .22 brass are not mutually exclusive.

From what I have "heard" it was said that there was an AR type rifle in the vehicle that was driven, but only handguns were found at scene inside of the school.

The way it swings this way and that everytime the media reports it, no one can really say for sure.
