PTR91 bolt gap ?
this rifle new had a bolt gap of .016 after 300 rounds the gap is .012 and I would like to increase it before it goes bellow .012
Should I use the +2 rollers or go with the +4 How much would the the gap icrease wlth either roller size?

wasting your time. Bolt gap isn't as critical as those hacks on HKPro would like to believe.
.012 is still plenty and well within spec.
The bbl will only move forward a bit, after that it'll stop. If it doesn't and the gap closes completely, then you have some real problems.0 -
The bottom end of spec for bolt gap is 0.004" - even that low your rifle will function properly.
Shoot another 300 rounds and check it again if it worries you, chances are it won't have changed as much as it did initially.
I don't worry much about it, I've never had functioning problems so I've never checked it after the initial check. Once I start to have problems I'll check again and increase the roller size.0 -
Thanks for the help I'm kind of new to the roller lock, back in the early 80's I had a real HK91 and I trade it for a S&W 629, at the time I thought the rifle was a little clunky compared to my Dad's M1A, today I realized my error. thanks. 0 -
It's still a little clunky...hell, it's a LOT clunky. 0 -
