The 9mm M882 Ball round uses a 124gr FMJ projectile backed with 6 grs of HPC 26 flake powder for a velocity of around 1250 fps. Before you even start looking for WPC 26 you need to know that it is not a canister grade powder and cannot be purchased by individuals through normal retail channels. A typical replacement would be 6.5 grs of Power Pistol (sometime called Bullseye 84) which will very closely duplicate the M882 Ball velocity while staying well below the SAAMI 35,000 psi maximum. Everyone has their own pet loading for this so don't be surprised if you come across a variety of loads.

Maybe not NOW, during "Obama ammo panic #2" when no ammo is available, but in general NATO spec 9mm luger ammo is readily available from a number of manufacturers.

Loading your own should be relatively straightforward, if you want to do that.
