Colt Government Carbine

All,
I have an unfired NIB Colt AR15 in it's original green label box, with all accessories and packing materials.
It is marked AR15A2, Colt Government Carbine, with a serial number beginning with GC and a number in the 9000's.
The gun has a bayo lug, flash hider, adjustable top sites, reinforced fence aroiund the mag well, and a sear block pinned into the bottom receiver.
A friend told me that "Green Label" Colts as this one normally do not have the blocks in the receiver.
My questions are is the presence of the sear block normal, and secondly what is the current value of this mint AR15?

    Yes the block is normal for Colt [xx(] They buckled in to the '94 ban very quick [:(]
    Value for your AR is sky high right now and you best sell as in a few months when the manufactures catch up, they will fall through the floor [:0]

    Colt's implementation of the sear block was not related to the 1994 AW ban. Colt implemented the sear block before the ban to prevent the use of auto sear devices in its guns. Colt was one of the few AR-style rifle makers at the time, and the ATF was upset by all of the auto sears being sold in "Shotgun New" and at gun shows. Colt wanted to appear to be a good citizen abhorred by such an issue so implemented the sear block.

    green lable should not have the blind hole pin sear block ,,does the serial number match what is on the lable?? what does the lable say as to model number?green lable guns are more collectable ..hard to trust the blue book..i bought 6 brand new colt Hbars back in the 90's just after they started selling them after they stopped sales to civilians for some reason(can;t remember)they had blue label no mag button fence(slab side)no internal sear block small pin trigger/hammer..and the dreaded C bolt carrier(they shaved off the rest of the bottom of the bolt so no trip surface )very shortly after that they started with the oversize trigger/hammer pins to prevent installation of military parts,and then went further with the dreaded blind hole sear block..in 1994 i ordered 10 carbine and 10 Hbars from bushmaster for the ban,after i got them they had all the new features of the m16 rifle and i sold the colts off ..do you have a M6520 or a 6420

    Fordsix,
    The gun is brand new and wrapped inside a green label box. The serial number on the green label matches the gun serial number. The green label has: Colt AR-15 A2 Gov't Car.
    Model R6520
    .223 Rem. (5.56 mm)

    Any idea on current value??

    cpermd is correct i have a chart on colt somewere in my mess that tells you the same thing about parts clean up and model numbers.. if geen lable and has block and pin not as wanted as model 6420 non block and pin carbine
