Winchester shotgun
Have a winchester 20 gauge Ranger speed pump, nice gun, But i hear i can buy a screw in sabot choke for this gun, I see they have 12 gauge screw ins, But having trouble locateing 20 gauge screw in sabot slug chokes.

I have a 20 gauge 2 and 3/4 Winchester Model 50. Serial number is 123011. Does anybody know the date of manufacture and its current value. The gun is Modified choke also. 0 -
My references show a winchester 1887 and a 1901 lever action shotgun but I cannot find any reference to 1883 shotgun . the original 1887 was in 12 gauge with the 10 gauge being introduced in 1901 with some minor design changes .several companies have produced reproductions over the years with a chinese company currently selling one Need pictures and more info on the dates on the gun. The stamp on the side should be a highly stylized W surrounding the RA not a circle 0 -
I need to clarify my original post.the gun was introduced in both 10 and 12 gauge using blackpowder but with the switch to smokeless powder only the 10 gauge chambering was retained in the 1901 design change . 0 -
What did the RA stand for. I was ask if I wanted to buy the gun but I got no idea what it is worth. It is in pretty good shape and works. I have no intention of trying to fire the gun. I want to pay a fair price. I will make sure of the year. 0 -
WRA= Winchester Repeating Arms as for price original specimens can be upwards of $1000.00 to $3000.00 or as cheap as 3 to 4 hundred all depends on condition Need good pics of the gun. 0 -

As David said there should be a "W" surrounding the "RA" rather than an "O". It represents Winchester Repeating Arms.0 -

It is a large stylized "C" with a very small opening that surrounds the "RA o"
W R A Co = Winchester Repeating Arms Company
The Model 1887 was originally introduced in 12-gauge only (2-5/8" blackpowder shells). The 10-gauge variant was introduced January 12th, 1889 at serial number 22153, chambered for a 2-7/8" blackpowder shell. In March of 1899 the Model 1887 was discontinued (at serial number 64855). In June of 1901, the Model 1901 in 10-guage only was introduced in smokeless powder (still a 2-7/8" shell though), and it resumed the Model 1887 serial number sequence (at 64856). Production ended in November of 1931 at serial number 78356, with a scant total of just 13,501 Model 1901 shotguns made. The Model 1887 was always case color finished, whereas the Model 1901 was always blued.0
