    .223 uses small rifle primers.
Both of those powders are slow for the .223, though the 4320 could be used with heavier bullets and mildly compressed loads. 4350 is for rifle cases .308 and up to the light magnums.

ok i think the way it sounds i have no use for the large rifle primers and imr 4350.
the 550b is marked from when i bought it that it is set up for 4.1 grains of bulleseye and a 230 grain load. i used this press before i bought it to help load some rounds with a friend and liked the load but he went to a 650 press.
what should i do for the primers and powder on gb sell the primers all 5000 or sell seperate 1000 at a time? any idea on starting price for anything or just start at a penny and let it go.
    thanks
also if 4320 is not that good what would be a good powder for the 223? i will be using in a bolt action and a semi auto.

Go back to your storage area and find a reloading book. If you don't have one , go to the book store and buy 2 of them.
After you read about the basics of each caliber you want to reload, and tried a few loads in published books, then ask here for advice on different loads.

You will enjoy a healthier life that way.

ok found my speer reloading manual number 12, also found my winchester reloading data book. also have a video for the 550B all with my manuals.
i always have the winchester for wst for shotgun shells and also 700x for shot shells so have those books with the ponsness warren press for shotshells. reloaded 20,000 or so with the pw press and no problems and got my first 25 and 50 and 75 in a row with my own reloads.
not new to reloading just new to reloading handgun and rifle.
the 550b is ready to reload all i have to do is load the powder and start on . but i will have to set up the 223 as this will be a new set-up had it for years just never got around to doing it. maybe i should grab one of my shooting buddies and have him come over and help set up the 550b for the 223.
the rockchucker maybe do some reloading singles of the 30-06. as i don't see myself needing a progressive set-up for that.
the only other thing i might need is a 9mm set-up probably do that on the 550B as well or the rockchucker.

any suggestions on the 223 for powder?

Use a ball-type powder for your .223; AA2230, W748, H335, etc. They run through a measure better than extruded powder.

for the .223 you might try Ramshot Tac, W-748 any number of other powders...
good luck and be safe...loading rifle is NOT the same as shotgun [;)]

    I use 4350 for 30-40 Krag, .303 Brit., 6.5x55, 7x57, and .308.
4320 is good for .223 with heavy bullets, I use it with 70 + 68 grain sp and hp.

4350 is good for .270, and 30 .06. It the keg is sealed, sell it to me. Really, use it up it is a versatile powder. Look in the manuals. I just paid $22 a pound. dont know what a keg sells for.

4350 is a great powder. I have used it for years in .243Win., 7MMM-08, .270Win.,30-06, 7MM Mag.,and .375H&H. Don't sell it, you would have to spend well over $250.00 to replace it if you could find it. Large rifle primers are fine with the standard calibers and 4350. Powder and primers are at a premium here in Va. if you can find any and on GunBroker right now it is like being on a black market. Anyway, use it, you are very lucky to have such a good supply of both powder and primers.

4350 is a fairly versatile powder, look over the recipes. It is fairly course, have to trickle it usually, but a great powder. Dont sell it untill you look over your manuals.

Why not just go to hodgdon.com and check what you can use it for? They own IMR now and the data for 4350 should be on there.

Dupont listed IMR in many different calibers years ago. Here is a good place to find the OLD data. http://www.stevespages.com/page8a.htm Example in 223 Remington with 55gr bullet > IMR-4350 From 25.0 grains to 26.0 grains
