Squirrel CVA rifle question
Ok I am building a few BP from some parts lots from the other side. I am smart enough to know I am not smart enough to assume anything in this matter...
Soo
here is a pic of the drum and nipple. It is set up for a precussion cap.. I would like to know if I can change to a flintlock setup by removing the hex screw in the end of the barrel , removing the nipple , and replacing the hex screw in the hole where the nipple was??

What say you?

You need to remove the entire drum
and nipple. You would then install a
threaded bushing in the barrel in the
now vacant hole. The bushing will be your
touch hole for flint.
The geometry of the lockplate, flashpan,
frizzen, and touch hole must be correct
to have reliable ignition.
