Arisaka Type 38 , Jinsen Arsenal
Hi guys,
I have conflicting data on the production numbers.
One on-line site says 12,000. Another says 1200.
I'm sorry to say I don't have the Francis Allan book on the Type 38s, but I'm hoping that one of you does.
Can someone please look and give me the figures cited in Mr. Allans book.
It seems to be the best reference, but I only have the Type 30 book.

Just over 12,000. This number is taken from 4 different references.

Glad you posted this. As a former Arisaka collector my focus was mainly on T-99's and the various T-38 variants (T-38C, T-44). And my initial thought was "they didn't make T-38's at Jinsen".
But in reviewing my references I see that indeed they did.
