Stevens 410 shotgun
I have a 410 shotgun with the following markings on it. I am looking for a value with a view to selling it.
"STEVENS" In large print
"SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION" In smaller Print
"CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A." In smaller print

"3 inch chamber"
in an oval in front of the trigger "14A"
and the number "5100" on the side.

without pictures around here it would be 100-150 range..... have to agree with the rest a double should go for a sell it today price of $350-400 to if you get the right guy and don't mind waiting for him $500-600. 0 -

That said. 410 doubles that are factory original, in Very Good condition or better. Are hot items in the market place, very desirable, and sought after.0 -

+1 for double 410 worth more for some reason.0 -
I would say $200 on the low side if it is in poor shape. A 95% gun could go for $600+ or -. .410 Double guns bring way more than they are worth. 0 -
Thanks everyone for the help, I have uploaded some photos. They are the best I could get. Any further information would be appreciated. It is great to be able to find and rely on the information from experienced Gun People like yourselves. 0 -
The 5100 stock is good walnut but yours has been messed with. Even though the checkering/carving adds character and is decent quality, the sling swivels are horrible.
$250 as a shooter, $450 - $600 if they hadn't "improved" it. Gun dates to pre 1950.0 -
Unfortunately I have to agree with Old Hickory. This is a basic field gun. While the .410 gauge (caliber) doubles the value compared to larger gauges, the modifications hurt the value terribly.
If we start with the stock, it was never carved nor embellished. The best I can say is that the line checkering is probably original. Then we need to address the sling ring(s). The absolute kiss of death!
And thus a shooter with virtually no collector value. Probably a $300 gun. Maybe a bit more on a good day and not quite that on a bad day. Too bad because a pristine example will sometimes fetch $800 or more.0 -
Not sure I'd put a sling on a double barrel Stevens with that pop-off forearm, dangerous in my opinion [;)]. Price in that condition I'd say $350 0 -
While the stock has been messed with, the metal looks prety good. If it were mine I would be looking for a replacement original stock. They are floating around. Going from a $200 to $300 shooter to a $500 to $600+ gun gives you a few bucks to invest in a stock. 0 -
As is it's easily a $400 in my area. 0
