The last time I went I purchased some M1 Carbine part, cleaning equipment and targets. Everyone there buys something different. If you want ammo or a black rifle be prepared to stand in line for a while for either.

Where have you been for the last couple of months, asleep?[:D]

The gunshow scalpers have tippled their prices on everything. You would be paying through the nose on everything, from $1500-$2000 for a AR, to $65 for a brick of .22 LR's.

If you got the money don't let me discourage you, but I would personally hold off for a while. Hopefully the nobama gun panic will subside like it did last time.

I try and buy cleaning supplies and bullet molds. Sometimes used reloading gear just to give away. Mostly I just like to visit old friends that are there. Look at the latest wiz bang attachments, enjoy the display only collections (not many these days).

now is the time to look for the older guns with wood stocks, everyone is looking for AR's now and a lot of the shotguns/rifles can be picked up for a good price, as people are selling grampa's rifle/shotgun so they can buy an AR.............

I buy what I like and want when I can get it for the price I want. There will always be bargains if you are patient and know what you are looking at.

I always try for a cup of coffee or a soft drink. Those tend to be safe. I also make it a rule to avoid the food at gun shows. That can lead to real trouble, especially those "free" samples of jerkie they pass out.

Be sure to check out the $1,000 garands, the $500 Mauser parts guns and the $25 a box ammo. Unless you find someone closing out an estate, there are no bargains at gun shows.

Well, first thing, I grab a Bratwurst with Sauerkraut and spicy mustard; that way, if I stay a few hours, no one will follow me.

Then I start looking for old friends, next ex-girlfriends, and pets I'd like to have.
After a while of that, I generally hang around the jerky sellers, jewelry sellers, jaundiced sellers, and the know-it-all buyers.

I mosey around some, then begin perusal of all the ancient single shot 22s everybody always ignores. Might even buy 1 or 3 to tote around.
Then it's back to the Brat Haus for a sodie!
