remington 338 lapua
Im trying to find barrel information for the 700p and xcr in 338 lapua. Cant even get a straight answer from remington. What i would like to know are the barrel lengths of both rifles not including the muzzle break. Also many places list the xcr as a 5r barrel but i cant find anything from remington. I would also like the know what the 700p barrel is made from and what the rifling is. I cant find anything about either on any remington site and the tech service gives me all different answers. Thank you for the help.

Thank you for the info on the 700p. The only thing ive managed to find about the xcr in 338 lapua is its a stainless barrel and action. As some places list the xcr as having a 5r barrel and others dont im still wondering if rem uses it for this model or not. 0 -
conwayt63,
I am not privy to everything going on in this industry but I do know that Bartlein made a huge run of .338 - 5R stainless steel barrels for Remington. You would think that a seller would use the term '5R' since it carries a lot of weight with the performance crowd.
