6MM-284 Win case forming question

Can you make 6MM-284 Win by just running a 284 Win case into a 6MM-284 Win sizing die? Or do you need a forming die?

  I would think you do not need a forming die. Sizing die wax on the outside and lee case lube inside the neck via q tip. Might need neck reamed when done.

  I do several hundred of these a year for competing.
  
  It's easier to work from 6.5-284 brass by using just the 6-284 sizing die. But if you happen to have some Winchester .284 Win. brass, start with the 6.5-284 sizing die then use the 6-284 die. Use Imperial Sizing Wax to ease the transition.
  
  You should not have to neck ream at all especially if you use an elliptical expander ball for the final sizing. You will need to turn the outside of the necks though.
