How can you tell a seneca green nylon 66 from an apache brown . They appear the same to me. Thanks!

I think its Mohawk brown and Apache black. 120 of them on them auction side. There is also a black diamond model listed.

blue book says the green apache 77 were for K-mart 87-890 -
The "seneca green" and "Mohawk brown" are model 66's...The "Apache 77" was (is) the K-Mart exclusive....
The Nylon Remington rifles are easily identified by the model # on the grip cap...All the US made nylons are ID'd that way...The Brazilian CBC manufactured nylons have a plain ( no model # ) gripcap..
The best way to differentiate between the brown and the green (seneca) is to lay them side by side...It'll be obvious to the most casual observer....

The (few) Seneca greens I have seen in person were definitely green.0 -
The green one that I saw, years ago, was very similar to what the army called Olive Drab, which wasn't far from brown, but I'd say it was more of a shade of green than brown. 0
