I'm listing a bunch vintage cartridges. These I don't know what they are. If anybody knows let me know. Thanks Here's the first group

    You're advertising cartridges without knowing what they are or how much they may be worth??

    #4 is Italian

    #5 is not a rimfire. It is a Benet primed center fire. Cal .45 Revolver Ball, S&W length, for the U.S. Colt military revolver. You also 2 or 3 others listed with a brass and a tinned case.

    #3 is European, and that's not a nipple, it's the anvil of a Berdan un-primed case (note the 2 flashholes)
    #4 smells Italian
    I think Mr C has mixed up #5 and #6 (#5 is the Benet primed 45)
    #6 smells like a Austrian product
    #7 is a late production Perrin thick rim (the early ones were inside primed)

    Looks more like .44 S&W American.

    The .44 Russian used an inside lubed bullet.

    The case length is closer to the Russian, and he compares it to a 44 Colt,
    which also is closer in dimensions to the Russian.


    But I will give you the bullet has a lube groove like the 44 American.
