HELP! M1918A2 BARREL
The barrel is marked 5/44. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Don't buy it! Unless you need or can sell all the parts, other then the receiver.
The serial numbered receiver is the firearm, as far as the feds are concerned. Unless it was registered with the feds as a dewat, or papered prior to the amnesty in 1968. It's illegal, contraband, end of story.
As far as I know their is no federal statute/law, declaring the parts illegal to possess or sell. Although their might be some State or municipal law in one of the commie States prohibiting them?0 -

Explained it to the seller. Receiver is not allowed other parts are OK 0 -
buy 'em. BAR parts are ridiculously expensive. 0
