Old Redfield Scope info

I have one of the older Redfield range finder scopes. If yours is like the one I have, there are 2 horizontal wires. You turn the power adjustment ring until they bracket an 18" object (like a buck's rib cage) and read the range on the little tab that is in the lower left of the field of view. You then aim accordingly.

I don't think you will get much information about your old Redfield from the people that make the new Redfields, but maybe.

Coyohunter, if yours uses the accutrac system, this will help:

Four years ago I bought a safe queen 742 BDL that has that 70's Accurange on it, and with the clear decal labels still as new.

Nice to have the instructions. So to measure on a buck' s ribcage, do you rotate 90 degrees or measure horizontally?
