Winchester Model 55 for Bert H

Hi Bert,
I didn't want to hijack the other thread! I too have a 55. I'm not sure if I've given you any information for your survey on it. It is serial number 4948 Cal. 32 W.S. Take Down Half Mag. Let me know if you need any other information.

  I have it in my survey, but not the barrel date. If you would, please take it down, and check to see what the 2-digit year number stamped on the bottom of the barrel is. Per the records, it was serialized on 7/27/1926. The barrel should be marked "26".
