Which way does it go?

Marlin Magazine tube problem.....I have forgotten which way the bevel goes. Up toward the magazine spring or down toward the magazine tube....[V] Sorry I didn't include picture,,,,,

  If no one can answer, as a suggestion, do the diagrams at e-gunparts show enough detail to tell?
