Breda Shotgun Choke Removal

This shotgun is like the A 5. I know that a spanner wrench is required to remove the choke. Question is. Does the small pin work like a ratchet and I just force past it or does the pin push in or need to be removed?

  From looking at it it looks like the pin is spring steel and you can just turn the choke off but lets see if anyone else has one or set of instructions.

  It looks more like a detent to me. Try pushing the pin into the rib.

  It also looks like it might benefit from a liberal amount of "Kroil" or something similar?

  If you can take a piece of brass and tap the end it may break free & go inside the rib. Should be able to turn it off with a hole bunch of turns(probably real fine thread)

  I had a few of these dinosaur shotguns..The pin is not needed, they screw up tight on the thread, oil & take pin off.
