Date of Manufacture, S&W 32-20 revolver

Hi Experts,
Happy New Year. I just picked up a S&W 32 20, 6 inch barrel nickel with serial number 38XXX. I did a search already online to try to find date of manufacture but couldn't find anything close to definitive. I hope one of the experts can date my new toy for me. I would assume, as i am going to handload for it, to keep loads on the light side as it's softer steel?

  1906-07 is what I come up with.

  The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson says 1907-1909.
  
  Yes, you want to keep loads on the light side, if you shoot it at all. Always a good idea to have these older guns checked out by a gunsmith.
  
  Be aware, .32-20 factory ammo, as well as reloading data, vary widely. Loads intended for rifles will undoubtedly destroy your gun, not to mention your good looks.

  Thanks,experts! I looked at Hodgdon's reloading guide which I use for all my reloading and have bought some 115 grain lead bullets that I'll be pushing along with one tenth of a grain above minimum, that,hopefully, will be safe enough. My good looks were destroyed already long ago,hahaha!
