Anyone no what model and what years they were made?
On the barrel its says 20 guage choke bore barrel and lug forged in one. On the receiver it says Iver Johnson's Arms & cycle works Fitchburg Mass USA

I think the Locking Bolt Spring is broken.

  There are no specific records but the late I. J. expert Bill Goforth estimated that Champions with all numeric serial numbers dated 1909-1919. After that letter suffixes were added to serial numbers, and the final production serials had all letters.

  Another expert posted the following information on Iver Johnson shotgun serial numbers.
  If made between 1909 and 1919??No letter (alpha) prefix to serial number.
  If made between 1920 and 1929?--Single letter (alpha) prefix to serial number.
  If made between 1930 and 1939??Two letter (alpha) prefix to serial number.
  If made between 1940 and 1950??All letter (alpha) serial number.
  Joseph T. Vorisek's book on Iver Johnson shotguns states that the word CHAMPION:
  Appears above all other markings if the gun was made before 1925.
  Appears below all other markings if the gun was made after 1925.

  Ned, your serial number info is the same as Goforth's, except that the added letters were suffixes, not prefixes.
  
  Iver Johnson revolvers on the other hand used letter prefixes.

  Thanks for the information, it is really appreciated. I will look at the gun myself this week and check for any suffixes.
