Bayonet Help

I just had a guy show up with a box full of gun stuff that he didn't want, in the box was this bayonet.
Any ideas what gun it goes to?
He is coming back on Friday with more stuff including some guns his dad kept at a family cabin before he passed away.

  I recently aquired a 1903a3 and the seller threw in this old bayonet. Im almost positive the scabbard is wrong for it, but for 20 bucks, i dont mind adding it to the collection. maybe the scabbard is for something foreign? but I dont know that much about either peice right now. Anyone offer any input of either of them? Thanks a lot. Pictures in the link below.

  It would be best if you had close-up quality photos of all markings on the bayonet, for accurate identification and valuation.
  
  That said, the bayonet looks Japanese to me. You might go to GOOGLE images and pull up some photos of Japanese bayonets, to see if they are similar.

  I have checked it over with a loop and the only marks found are the number 419 and someone notched a small X in the wood.

  Here is a photo I got off the net of a, "Hooked Quillon", "Arisaka" bayonet. If yours doesn't have any markings it might be a last ditch late war production or a Chinese knock-off?

  Japanese T-30 bayonet for the Arisaka. Fairly early one too by the looks of it based on the grips; there should be a maker's mark on the ricasso (top part of the blade) just above the cross piece (quillion). You said there weren't any, but it could have been a light stamp or ground. Some makers are worth quite a bit more than others. That said, if a common one, or unmarked, in this shape with no scabbard, I'd wager about $30-$50 in value.

  Thanks guys for the quick information, lets see what he brings me on Friday.
  He said his grandfather was a gunguy and left stuff to his dad, now the dad passed away and he wants nothing to do with guns. He said there are 5 or 6 guns at the cabin along with knives, ammo and what he called hunting crap.
  He was going to turn the guns and ammo in to the police but said I can have it all instead.[:)]

  I have it's twin sitting here on my bench, no arsenal marks on it either. Had me puzzled so I had a friend of mine, Ralph Cobb that has this website: http://worldbayonets.com/ take a look at it. ID'ed it as a Jap Trainer bayo used on "school rifles" for bayonet drills. Apparently they have a collector following, one like yours brings about $65.
  I can't tell in the pics, but the blade, if unmolested, should be dull. Send some good clear pics to ralph, and he can put a positive ID on it, and give you a fair appraisal for value.
